Gettting crushed on the boards by this team was not a great.

Hate to use the Mirk missing excuse, Baylor is not a good basketball team. Their Texas A&M Corpus Christi transfer went off on 28 points in 22 minutes.

Didn’t watch, just observing here. I think coach knows what he has in the older guys. They are trying to tune a few things with them while seeing what we have in the new guys. Also, let’s look at last year at this time. Petro had way more tick than Keaton and we said we were 12 deep to really only see 8?

LOL...they have no older guys who aren't on injured reserve....four Vic's and Jake are hobbled. Vaaks was impressive though. Hope we get to see the predicted starting five together before the B1G tourney. QC, Vaaks, AS, Mirk, and Tomi. Got plenty of kids to spell them along the way if they ever get healthy.

Been there and done that for a team rated as high as #10 in Illinois back in the day. Put me on the bench for the rest of the season. It not only affects the physical performance massively while recovery is slow, but the negative mental influence is also massive, especially for a 15 year old. Sure hope Z can do better than I did, but he weighs about 100 lbs more than I did at the time.

And I don't think he defended any better than Vaaks tonight. Frankly he was getting blown by over and over and big reason why Brad pulled him in 1st half and iced him IMO. Vaaks size and ability to get to the hoop (big IF....he doesn't settle for contested jumpers) is just so noticeable out there. Vaaks will never be good defensively....but he's got the size and strength that Brown simply doesn't have right now.

Agree, and Vaaks has to rebound. One area he absolutely can & must improve.

The point of these games, to me, is that to find out what guys like Ethan Brown, Lincoln Williams, and to a much lesser extent, Quentin Coleman look like against “live bullets.”

He’ll never say this publicly, but Brad isn’t concerned about winning these games. It’s about experimenting with lineups and seeing what works and what doesn’t.

It’s October 23. We could have beaten the freaking Knicks tonight I wouldn’t have cared.

Agreed, but he needs to be better about not driving into traffic and getting tied up or turned over.

And that dribble-hop/gallup-turnover thingamajig… What was that? Freshmen gonna freshman, I guess. 🤷‍♂️

He is scary good now, and will only get better.
My favorite for B1G FOTY… 🏆

He is really good. Not sure his decision making is there yet. He is still very chaotic. This can be good at times and bad too. He needs to find a middle ground.

I think the first half served its purpose and Brad got tape for the rest of the year. I'm watching it again and it looked like the whole point was to put them in uncomfortable defensive positions. No better way to push the importance of talking non-stop and winning on the boards.

Coleman is good, I like Williams on ball a lot somebody is going to loose time to that kid because Brad has to have a way to stop the ball. Coleman and Williams can actually trap, we have not had that for a bit.

Tomi in drop is just terrible they scored almost everytime. I really hoped Z would come in a be dominate on the inside, I just think we need more from him every game he plays?

Long as Andj is ok? What’s with Mirk in a boot?
