First year was a negative for Minnesota. http://m.startribune.com/first-year-of-tcf-bank-beer-sales-lost-money-for-u/199077011/

I just read the article. Next year and every year after will be profitable. They spent 12,000 on trees and reported that they were overstaffed (50,000 on security and extra ushers). They will still only make 10-20 grand next year. Sounds like the deal with the vendor was not a good one to start with. Interesting side note is that security incidents went down during their first year serving alcohol.

While there are always going to be idiots who drink too much and cause problems, perhaps the alcohols sales inside eliminate the binge drinking that takes place outside.

Losing the "I'm a rebel" factor does seem to promote better decision making, but i think reduce the binge drinking, not eliminate, will be more likely.

(Similarly, I believe I read that initial reports show a drop in teenage marijuana use in Colorado, but I am not motivated to research just now)
