Bennett Williams no longer with the Illini

I thought there was some relationship between Hardy and the family, and Werner wrote hardy and the dad played college ball together. Must be extra tough for hardy/staff to have to make this decision, and for the Williams family too.

I for one am actually proud of the post on this board. Unlike some twitter users, I believe we understand what the coaching staff is doing is right

He should be praised for the elegance of that note. I’m immensely sad to see him go, but happy to see him leave without torching the place on his way out (which he could have easily done by even silently exiting, leaving recruits to wonder whether his dismissal was justified or simply the result of Lovie’s soul-crushing dictatorship)

Random question. So is it safe to say that Verdis Brown and Larry Boyd are suspended for an entirely different reason than the 3-game guys and Bennett? Those 2 went from no suspension to an entire year. The other guys went from no suspension to 3 games to dismissed from the team in Bennett’s case. Just seems a little weird. What infraction necessitates a full year suspension on strike one? While another infraction can go from 3 games to gone?

Boyd and Brown are academic ineligible I believe.

How do all of these departures and academic suspensions impact our APR?
