I can’t unsee this……
The refs understand time and circumstance. Just egregious to call something that doesn’t need to be called in that situation.
Plus, for as much speculation as it’s gotten, I’m not 100% sure he was taunting him. Just seems like a “losing his mind in the moment” type of scenario.

I once saw my nephew wear a mask like this when he was a toddler.
It was a lot more cute when he did it compared to Dan.
