Okay heroes. I’m gonna continue to hate on Hunter AND love the Illini.
To clarify, hate on Hunter on this forum and to anyone I might be watching a game with. Not be a complete !!! and post ignorant stuff @ him or any other player on Twitter.Okay heroes. I’m gonna continue to hate on Hunter AND love the Illini.
Your quoted post was better. /sTo clarify, hate on Hunter on this forum and to anyone I might be watching a game with. Not be a complete !!! and post ignorant stuff @ him or any other player on Twitter.
What's funny is is all of the Michigan fans who loudly talked about how no one at Michigan cares about Illinois and it's funny that we were so mad and acting like it is a rivalry.
...yet.My hate for Hunter comes nowhere close to my hate for Bohannon.
Yeah if he keeps this up for 5 more years...yet.
Yeah he even tried to throw shade on out program saying we aren’t even a powerhouse program. Can’t deny the prior two coaches’ records, but to substantively claim we have no place at the top at the conference before BU I think was meant to ‘trigger’ Illini fans. Don’t give into it…What's funny is is all of the Michigan fans who loudly talked about how no one at Michigan cares about Illinois and it's funny that we were so mad and acting like it is a rivalry.
And yet, Dickinson specifically calls us out like you would a rival. We may not be first on Michigan fans' minds, but it's clear we are living rent free in Dickinson's head, and I love that.
POTD“Maybe it’s taken on a little bit of my personality. I hope so. I think that’s it,” Underwood said. “I think you have to play the game with some passion. I think you have to play the game with some fire in your belly and maybe it means we’ve arrived a little bit. People want to talk about us that way and not like us that way. Maybe it’s because — I don’t know — we’ve stepped on toes. I don’t know. You’d have to ask them, but I’m never gonna be a guy who apologizes for coaching with passion, having our guys play with passion, having them play with fire, being competitive as hell and that’s who I am.”
Holy crap. This makes me want to run through a wall. Or at least aggressively mow my grass. Maybe trash talk the trash as I take it out.
"Whats up trash bag? You want some of this? Ima take you out. Ima put yo arse in the can! You some stinky trash b@#ch!"

Did Dickinson specifically call Illinois out? He was asked a question about Illinois and answered it — and answered it honestly. I get the feeling he enjoys this and no one is living rent free in his head. I saw a rapid fire interview of Curbelo called Shot Clock or something like that. One of the questions was who would you most like to dunk against and without any prompting he said Hunter Dickinson. Does that mean Dickinson and Michigan are living rent free in Curbelo’s head? What's funny is is all of the Michigan fans who loudly talked about how no one at Michigan cares about Illinois and it's funny that we were so mad and acting like it is a rivalry.

We are college basketball fans, it's very normal to troll opponents and not troll our own players.Did Dickinson specifically call Illinois out? It's pretty clear that HD is upset with being second to Kofi as far as centers in conference. The skillets may mean something different moving forward depending on development but the guy clearly knows who the alpha center is and he loves to talk smack. All good. Let's play and see how it pans out!
Perhaps, but it's normal to say you want to dunk on a top ranked NPOY candidate opponent. It's not usual to complain about an opponent being annoying and go out of your way to denigrate the program. You do realize the whole reason he was asked the question was because of prior comments he'd made right? Dickinson has a history of making these kinds of comments about Illinois. Not Iowa. Not Indiana. Not even MSU. Just us. We've got a nice plot of land in this guy's head.Did Dickinson specifically call Illinois out? Kinda hard to know. In four decades of watching Illinois I've never seen us get the benefit of the doubt from the NCAA or big ten office.TBF, scUMs coach doesn't set the greatest example when it comes to choosing what not to say. But in balance, scUM has every right to be irritated at the public Illini complaints from fans and administration about regular season BB champion. If the tables were turned and was awarded the 2020-21 banner having played fewer games, many Illini fans would be salty about other programs griping about it.
5 decades here and you're correct. Let's see if theres any official ruling on Kofi selling merch or if it just goes away.Kinda hard to know. In four decades of watching Illinois I've never seen us get the benefit of the doubt from the NCAA or big ten office.
Excellent story on Juwan Howards
Agree, as long as Howard doesn't threaten Turgeon again like he did. He's impressed the heck out of me. Landed 2 top-15 classes already, and has great knowledge of the game and what it's like to be a player. As much as I root for Illinois, having great coaches makes the conference better.
From what I heard from someone that was less than 20 feet away, it wasn't Howard that initially did the threatening.Agree, as long as Howard doesn't threaten Turgeon again like he did.
