Now that we've fallen off a bit....I think the Music City Bowl is a good game to fall into. Nashville is a fun city and there are some interesting SEC matchups that could happen.

Mizzou vs Illinois in Nashville?

Mizzou may not end up being bowl eligible. They'd have to win their last two games just to even get bowl eligible. Only one of the projectors on ESPN.com even had them in a bowl, which would actually be another rivalry game for the Tigers, which is the Autozone Liberty Bowl vs. Kansas.

If you want to paint an optimistic picture, it's entirely possible that winning on Saturday would have meant finishing 9-5 with three dispiriting national audience blowouts in games we're not yet ready for, whereas losing gives us a chance at going 9-4 and building some momentum toward the future.

It's a story we can tell ourselves anyway.

It's much better than our typical story. I'll take it.

Music City Bowl would be great, I'll be there if it happens.

Absolutely not. That's way too steep a price for a trip to Detroit.
Haha, yeah ALMOST*** any bowl game! I think once we started 7-1, even considering where we were last year and before that as a program, it's fine to get a TINY bit picky. We can say that dreams of the Rose Bowl or even Citrus Bowl were totally unrealistic now for this team, but I would also think we should still be kind of disappointed if we are in Detroit or NYC. Beat Northwestern, and we are 8-4 (a huge improvement!) and we can go to a warm weather spot. Somehow beat Michigan, and we can all start the dreaming again! :ROFLMAO:

How far we have fallen is such a short, 10 day period. I’m all for being selected and then declining anything with less prestige than Music City. At that point, 5-6 players, maybe more, will sit out to prepare for the draft. Citrus, Outback, Rose, they’d stay in.

Nobody's going to the Outback Bowl

One possible scenario, above. I will update following this weekend's upset in Ann Arbor. (Even though I've never heard of a 17-point favorite losing at home. Oh wait.......)
