Welp, we shall see. Will be interesting, but I still don’t think for a second the committee will be leaving out Bama. As well, I'd love to hear the committee explain how SMU is ahead of BYU considering BYU beat SMU head to head. SMU needed to win in my opinion, but we'll see what the committee does with a close loss

The way I see it is Alabama doesn’t deserve the playoff after losing to Vandy and Oklahoma, but I also think they are probably better than SMU. They have better quality of wins

It is bad precedent to punish a team that made there Championship game over a team that didn’t. I think the committee has said that. If Alabama was ahead of them or even one spot away, of course. But the committee ranked them three spots ahead of Alabama going in. Also if SMU would have continued to be blown out, Alabama would have a case.

Oregon - bye
Georgia - bye
Boise - bye bubble
ASU - bye bubble
Clemson - bye bubble

Next 5 is Texas, Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee.

The final two spots are between Indiana, SMU and Alabama. Indiana will not be left out so it’s between SMU and Alabama.

I think Clemson is 11 and SMU is 12, but keeping my beach house out of it

Idle teams can’t jump other idle teams so can’t see a scenario that leaves IU out
