Yeah, getting ready, getting psyched. Sorry to bring this up once again but can someone review the BTN Plus deal? What I mean is I know there is some way to watch the exhibition games via BTN Plus and then cancel. And someone mentioned earlier about the Illini games on BTN Plus actually go over a month or something like that. I keep forgetting how this all works.

Illinois has 4 games on BTN Plus this season. These are home games that, if you can't make it in person, you can only watch live on BTN2Go.com or the BTN2Go mobile app by paying $9.95/month on the cheapest plan (no TV).

http://www.btn2go.com/

Oct 30 Washington U (Exhibition)
Nov 4 Lewis (Exhibition)
Nov 13 Northern Kentucky
Dec 10 Central Michigan

To subscribe go to BTN2Go-

BTN Plus (upper right corner) "Subscribe to BTN Plus"
SCHOOL PASS -> Select School Illinois -> $9.95 / month select
Fill out the form, login if you already have an account, or not etc etc. If everything works you'll immediately get charged $9.95 on your card by "NEULION, INC. USD"

To unsubscribe-

BTN Plus -> Sign In
BTN Plus -> My Account
My Subscriptions
Cancel Subscription

So if you want to watch live all 4 Illinois BTN Plus games, sign up on Oct 29th or 30th, then cancel on Dec 11th for a grand total (2 billing cycles) of $19.90.

It's absolutely criminal that BTN tries to squeeze even more money out of cable subscribers like this.

Yeah I can deal with a month of the stuff but having it conveniently spread to a 2nd month just seems a little greedy to me...yet because I want every ounce of Illini basketball I will pay.

Don't mind paying if the quality of the stream is ok. Typically, its terrible in the first half but much better as the game progresses. Most everyone gets frustrated and drops out by the end of the first half and the stream gets much better. I hope the rest of you don't sign up, so there is enough band width available for me to watch the entire game!

For those of you that don't want to order BTN Plus and don't mind waiting, BTNHD will play the Washington game on 10/31 at 12:30 pm. Out in CA that's channel 610 on DirectTV.

It's 2:30 in the guide for us central time folks. But thanks man, no btnplus for me.

I wouldn't count on the replays, especially for the games that are played while football season is still going on. Too many other events and football content being shown.

Looks like I'm wrong here, in addition to the Wash U replay already mentioned, I see both the Lewis and N Kentucky replays showing up in my listings:

Lewis is at 6:30 pm central on 11/6
NKU is 10:30 pm central on 11/14

I believe the DirecTV showing is a repeat on 10/31. BTN2Go is the live showing for subscribers only.

None for me thanks. I can easily afford it, but I'm fed up enough that I'm not willing to.

I'm fine with capitalism trying to wring every last dollar out of us, but I also know that at some point, you have to vote with your wallet or they'll never get the message.

Yes, that's the game's live tipoff time, on BTN Plus. The discussion you're replying to is about replay availability to avoid subscribing to BTN Plus :)

Ah, sorry! It shows as a standard play option on BTN2GO on PSVue but does say Plus. My error, error.

Maybe they forgot to lock down PSVue, perhaps there's a free port of entry :)

At least for the 2 exhibitions - I can see what I want to see in terms of chemistry and improvement a day later, rather than watch a bad feed and student announcers for $9.95..

I don't know if this will help anyone, but doing testing yesterday and I was able to watch the volleyball game on BTNPlus on campus yesterday (IllinoisNet). Can't guarantee it'll work for basketball now, but I'll check at 2:00 when the game starts. :D

how was the quality of the feed for the last game? Im willing to spend the money, but last year the video quality was unwatchable.

Feed was good for me the last game, and I don't recall hearing any complaints.

The feed was very good for me. The announcers were meh to mediocre, which makes them an order of magnitude better than last year.
