Carlton Bragg situation

Seems to be other trouble going on at Kansas as well don't know if Bragg situation is part of that or not so won't speculate on that part of it.

Kansas forward Carlton Bragg has been suspended indefinitely -- "not connected to the alleged incident in McCarthy Hall on December 17th," per Bill Self.

KU police investigating alleged rape of girl, 16, at dorm for basketball players, other male students
No charges filed. I don't understand why this is just coming to light now, almost 6 weeks after it happened.

For those unaware, this "dorm" where the alleged rape of the 16 year old girl occurred is more like a luxury hotel for KU basketball players, with enough lucky students to keep it within NCAA rules.

My stomach turns when I hear Self refer to the alleged rape of a minor as "the alleged incident." It sounds like he's trying to cover it up. I would hope he would suspend any player immediately if involved, so I doubt Bragg is involved.

I feel like you answered all your own questions before asking them.

What should he refer to it as?

I wish I could find the thread, we discussed this dorm some months back and I said that this would be a magnet for this sort of behavior.

Revenue sport athlete palaces are a terrible idea. For this and many other reasons.

I think the discussion was about a similar palace in Lexington.

Maybe this is the post that started the discussion you were referring to, but I remember an earlier discussion about Kentucky's Special "Dorm"

Yeah the guys BBall team here has their own private dorm, although it is TECHNICALLY not for the basketball team only because that would be a violation. ;);)

It is no different than a frat house in some senses...so not exactly a place that is going to encourage positive life choices.

Technically I think it said it wasn't related to the charges of rape. It very well could have been something found during the investigation of the incident.

"This violation is not connected to the alleged incident in McCarthy Hall on December 17th."

They don't specify the "incident." It could be drug paraphernalia. It could be contributing to a child’s misconduct. It could be furnishing alcohol to a minor. You know, typical incidents you might find on a college campus. Oh, and yes, it could be the rape of a minor. It could be any or all of these incidents, we don't know. But something sure smells fishy.

Jock. Walk. Jayhawk? I'm sure we shall see in due time.

Calm down everyone, I am sure Bill will get everything straightened out, Snacks left his paraphernalia at practice and Bragg picked it up and was just holding on to it until he saw Jerrance again.

LOL...I'm guessing Snacks isn't "shmoking wheed." Most people smoking pot are a little thinner than he is. :D
