UPDATES: Jay Norvell (WR's Arizona State) hired at Nevada. Really good offensive mind that has been around for a long time and coached at a lot of top notch programs. Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, and UCLA are among stops. Very well connected and probably blew them away at the interview. Houston: Reports surfaced that Lane Kiffin would be hired; however, I think that Kiffin has become the #1 target and the powers at be will meet tonight to decide if they want to move forward. A report has surfaced that Larry Fedora (UNC Head Coach) was offered and turned down the job. Temple: I have seen that Charlie Strong has spoken to Temple, this at least shows me he has some interest to coach next season, I don't believe it will be at Temple. He is more likely to land at USF and if not there he is more likely to be the Oregon DC next year than he is at Temple. I still don't understand how Temple wouldn't go hard after Joe Moorhead....he is the best fit and is a proven winner...time will tell. Greg Schiano is one to really watch here as well, tremendous fit as well. South Florida: Charlie Strong has to be the favorite but Geoff Collins (DC Florida), Larry Scott (TE's Tennessee), Rich Bisaccia (TE/Asst. HC Dallas Cowboys), Eddie Gran (OC, Kentucky), Lane Kiffin, Greg Schiano, Lawrence Dawsey (WR FSU), and Mario Cristobal have all been mentioned. Western Kentucky: Paul Petrino has talked to WKU officials about job. He has done a really good job at Idaho. WKU appears to be starting with "in house" type candidates that are in the Petrino/Louisville/Western Kentucky circles. A couple others to watch here would be T.J. Weist (interim HC at USF) and Raymond Woodie (DC - USF). Garrick McGee may not be too far down on WKU's list either. I believe this is Petrino's job to lose. Neal Brown (Troy HC) has rumored to already interviewed as well. Florida Atlantic: Jim Leavitt appears to be favorite at the moment. Mario Cristobal probably isn't too far behind and may be a more likely candidate. Luke Fickell, Manny Diaz, Geoff Collins, and Tim Brewster have also been mentioned. Cincinnati: Luke Fickell is making major push, Kerry Coombs who is also an assistant on tOSU staff is also candidate. Neal Brown has been mentioned. Charlie Strong has been mentioned. I think Luke Fickell is overwhelming favorite at the moment.
