Your loved ones need to keep you away from sharp objects.Ugh, i am so pissed with Missouri winning. I hate them more than practically every team in the Big Ten, except for NW. Now watch Illinois get blown out tomorrow or something to really get me sent over the edge. i normally don't care about Bowl games unless it's Illinois or Missouri playing.
Agreed until the Northwestern comment, haha. Whatever contempt I have for the purple kittie nerds is nothing compared to the likes of Missouri, Indiana and Iowa.Ugh, i am so pissed with Missouri winning. Moved to Illinois in 1981, became a fan around 1984 and can’t stand Missouri with a passion.I'm curious of both the geographic location and age of those with the passionate hatred of Missouri. I came of Illini age in the 80s principally, when the Braggin Rights games were very fun, but we were very successful. I just never had the hatred and I never developed it, even in those years when we had multiple game losing streaks.
While I definitely think Illini fans’ most hated teams will fluctuate based on geography, I definitely don’t think there needs to be an excuse/reason to despise Missouri. I’m 33, and my parents raised me an Illini fan simply because we were from Peoria (they both went to NIU for undergrad). I remained an Illini fan after moving to Iowa City in grade school, and I’ve remained one for life. And I hate Mizzou as much or more than any other team.I'm curious of both the geographic location and age of those with the passionate hatred of Missouri. If it wasn't for Braggin Rights, I wouldn't give Mizzou a second thought. The rivalry is all tied up with that game, where I really, really want to beat them and get depressed when we lose. I don't have strong feelings one way or another about their football team.I'm curious of both the geographic location and age of those with the passionate hatred of Missouri. I faced the same deliema and your a better person for it.say a hail mary and a loud ILL INI and I heard you'll be a absolvedI feel so guilty about being upset about Iowa losing. My hatred of the SEC is greater than my disgust with the Sqwaks
I grew up in Missouri, and didn’t really follow college sports at all, truthfully. I “cheered” for Missouri by name.I'm curious of both the geographic location and age of those with the passionate hatred of Missouri. I would add ScUM to your list sirAgreed until the Northwestern comment, haha. Whatever contempt I have for the purple kittie nerds is nothing compared to the likes of Missouri, Indiana and Iowa.

So, this will sound like Festivus, but I really cannot stand Northwestern, Indiana, Purdue, Iowa, Minnesota (in football), Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Rutgers, Penn State, Maryland (in basketball), Missouri, Austin Peay, Arizona, Auburn, North Carolina, UConn...did I mention Missouri? Not that I keep lists or hold a grudge (for more than a century).
I worked in St Louis from 1983 until 1993, when I returned to Champaign. Previously I could have cared less about Miznoz. But after dealing with their fans and their inferiority complex & jealously re the Illini, well... I wish them the absolute worse sports-wise. I went to all the Braggin' Rights games for those 10 years, and thought Norm Stewart was a thug and coached his players that way especially vs Lou Henson.I'm curious of both the geographic location and age of those with the passionate hatred of Missouri. Yeah, i live pretty close to St. Louis and it's all Mizzou fans there and the media constantly talks about Mizzou and i get sick and tired of hearing about how good they are. If i didn't live as close to Mizzou territory as i do, i probably wouldn't care that much, but i have to deal with it with where i'm at.I worked in St Louis from 1983 until 1993, when I returned to Champaign. Anyone else watching Bama-Mich? Bama is falling apart. Hope the fumble stands.
