Do you reckon there is a team left out of that Top 12 that could win the championship?Well well. How can anyone complain now that we have a 12 team playoff? A true champion decided on the field. All subjectivity has been removed. Yes. This has removed all doubt.
No one outside the top 12 could win a championship. No one outside the top 5 can win a championship.Do you reckon there is a team left out of that Top 12 that could win the championship?
If you're actually Mike Tisdale and your first post is about how great Indiana football is, this is incredible.Really don't understand how Penn State still gets ranked higher than Indiana.
Yea sure, Indiana's schedule has been charmin soft, but it's not like they're a MAC team scraping by every week and are still undefeated longer than anyone thought, they are KILLING high major big ten middle tier teams.
Penn State has had their only 2 tough games at home, and lost one of them.
If Indiana had "Michigan" on the fronts of their jersey and kept everything else the same about their season, they'd be the #2 ranked team in the country. But where they're at now, they're going to get dropped from the top #12 all together for some 2 loss SEC team when they lose @ Ohio State
No most likely not, but people are arguing rankings, home field advantage etc. My point has always been that for those who destroyed the big bowls their argument was that subjectivity would be removed from the process but it’s as subjective as ever. It’s always been about the money. No one ever says this.Do you reckon there is a team left out of that Top 12 that could win the championship?
it’s called bias . it’s not going away .Really don't understand how Penn State still gets ranked higher than Indiana.

Time will actually take care of this paricular bias. IU has opportunity against Ohio State (only ranked game of year). Would not be too concerned about "biases" at this point. Penn State was not going to get punished too much for losing a close game to Ohio State.it’s called bias . it’s not going away .
life’s not fair either
It's unbelievable how weak their schedule is this year. Their opponents have a combined record of 40-52, and only two teams actually have a winning record (Nebby, and Washington).Time will actually take care of this paricular bias. IU has the actual possibility of going 11-1 with no ranked wins and still make playoff. That is quite amazing.
It is crazy for Illinois as well. The schedule looked intimidating pre-season, but a lot of teams ended up much worse than expected (same goes for IU but on steroids). It's unbelievable how weak their schedule is this year. Do you have a beach house?I still think Indiana doesn't make it if they are smoked by Ohio St.. be hard to take 11-1 Indiana over 10-2 Tennessee or Ole Miss
I wonder what improbable cascasde of events would be required for that 6.58% to pay off.Late last night, an elaborate analysis of playoff probabilities (College Football Network) gave Illinois a small but nonzero chance to make the playoffs:
"Other teams with high playoff probability not in the top 25:
Louisiana: 48.30%
Tulane: 9.90%
Illinois: 6.58%
Arizona State: 4.49%"
Hard to believe. but OK.

UGA loses 2 more, ND loses 2 more, A&M loses 2 more, LSU loses 1 more, Mizzou loses, somehow someway B12 and ACC only get 1 team each... maybe that way? Idk... totally speaking off the top of my head.I wonder what improbable cascasde of events would be required for that 6.58% to pay off.

6.58% actually kinda seems too high.
