Tulane proving they don’t belong. Oh well. I was only hopeful for JMU anyway.

The 2 teams that got in ahead of ND are going to lose by a combined 50+ pts in games over in the first half, is that really enjoyable for anyone?

Ore or Ole Miss vs ND would be an infinitely more enjoyable game, even for rooting against ND.
Perhaps, but Notre Dame's exclusion allowed for a very entertaining Domer hissy which kept us amused during the lull in games. I'm good with the status quo.

Sorry, likely 70+ points. I'd say UT and BYU would've been more enjoyable as well.

...but boy ND not being in makes the bad football more enjoyable.

It's not really any better next year(assuming a similar scenario).

There'd be a 8-5 ACC champion still.

They would have been in as a conference champ. If only....

Those two were automatic qualifiers, so would need a rule change to get more P4 teams in.

The big benefit of allowing G5 teams in the playoff is it allows them to recruit with a chance to play in it. If you don’t allow G5 teams in, it’s the destruction of those leagues.

As a fan I do not think trading watching really bad football for a 1% chance that a team can catch up talent wise is worthwhile, and judging by the rule change specific to ND next year, no one else in CFB really does either.

JMUs league is pilaged by P4 teams for staff and players every year. If there was really a desire for competitiveness they would start by trying to balance that.

Perhaps the best PR/Spin doctors in CFB... closely followed by the SEC...

Problem is the NCAA is NOT in charge of the CFP system.. It's a strictly made for TV product. NOT designed to produce the BEST team as champion, but to produce the MOST money for TV, so they can payout those huge sums to the conferences ....
