My mother and I come to one game a year and that happens to be this Saturday. We are going to Black Dog before the game but I need some suggestions for dinner after the game. I'm not looking for $40 a person but a nice bar and grill would be good. Thanks in advance.

Looking for the same type of thing. I want a place where they have a bit of everything, a good steak would be good. We're obviously going to be dressed in our game threads, so a higher end, more formal location will not do.

Money really isn't an object. Finding a place that fits the above could be difficult.

The Ribeye may be something you are looking for. I'm looking for less college student vibe and more alumni vibe. I have thought about The Ribeye but I don't know that I want a steak.

the burger at Farrens in downtown Champaign is pretty good -

and Po Boys (now in urbana ) is always good for an old school pork sandwich on white bread - it has that down south joint vibe

Catty corner 1 block west and 1 block south is the Esquire lounge, sounds like a decent
option for you...
