This is a bad team that will finish last in the division, and the GM has done his very best to ruin Caleb's development with a sub-NFL level offensive line. But the kid has talent and that will be all that matters if he can stop being hamstrung by morons.

I said to my wife “they should blitz him like Illinois did vs Kansas” which to me should be textbook on how you defend this play
Has a team ever lost after leading for the first time in the final :30? If not, that's definitely something an Illinois sports fan knows all too well.

If I never see another 3 man rush in my life it will be too soon. Nothing good ever comes from giving a quarterback more time to complete a pass. Play defense the way you played it the entire game. Damn it, give yourself a chance. Don't give your opponent one.
This is not a bad team, you have not seen bad bears teams or any teams if you think that.
Houston played it incredibly well earlier in the day in fact. Granted it was Anthony Richardson who is a slug, but still.
They overloaded one side of the line with I think three (maybe four) guys and just overwhelmed the one side to get a sack.

Whatever hopes anyone had for the playoffs is over and done with. They needed to stack wins in these first nine games because the last eight are a killer. This is a season killer. I don’t blame Eberfluss for 2022 because they wanted to lose games. But there have been too many bad coaching moments to keep track of over the past 24 games. The house will get cleaned at the end of the season.

Quan ended up with 11 tackles (9 solo a 1 TFL). According to ESPN box score, Newton didn’t have a sack (saw on Twitter he did), but ended up with a TFL, 3 tackles and QB hits, and a fumble recovery. Bears end up with egg on their faces.
