I don't understand that run play call at alll on second and 19. Why not at least give your playmaking QB a chance to get them within range of converting on 3rd down?
We're going to give up a score to the Vikes on this drive I think. Defense is looking completely gassed out there. That opening run play wasn't a good sign at all.

Why not just kick out of bounds there
I assume because the Vikings would keep declining the penalty and forcing the Bears to kick it in bounds

Embarrassing collapse. Didn’t see much that looked different from last year. O-Line is still hot garbage, Caleb’s accuracy still suspect, D completely fell apart in the 4th quarter. Refs didn’t help with some BS calls in key spots.

Saw some stuff early to like...then a lot not to like. If Caleb doesn't learn to put touch on his throws, going to join Trubisky and Fields as first round busts.

Anyone understand why they didn’t onside kick after their TD? With only one time out left it guaranteed they would get the ball back with only ten seconds or so left.

Four false starts in the first half, terrible o-line play, over 120 yards in penalties, horrible replay challenge, not much difference.
Yep. These are the facts that will get lost. The QB will always be the first to take this heat, but this was a ridiculously undisciplined group, going for it instead of taking the chip shot 3, a missed 50 yard FG(after a holding penalty, then intentional grounding), no play call imagination, terrible challenge.....then you need to know for a FACT that your kicker can kick it out of the back of the end zone. If it's even a question, kick it out of bounds.

Poor Bears. Mn just imposed their will in the second half. Missed fg didn't help.
I like Caleb... but I have been waiting for him to learn to have some touch to his throws and it just isn't happening. I don't know why we gunslings as hard as he can on so many easy wide-open passes.
My worry is that his adrenaline seems to be affecting his accuracy, and he often won't have situations where he can settle down and throw with our line.
