TD with 1:34 left! Why do I have a feeling the Bears will be on the USC side of yesterdays game?

Can the Bears defense stop someone when it counts? Usually no. And of course they can’t cover the kickoff.

I didn’t watch any of the first half but was the o-line significantly better when they moved Bennedet to LT and Trupillo to RT?

Ok, I have a question on the Bears' final kickoff with 1:30 left. They put in Taylor instead of Santos because Santos probably can't kick the ball out of the end zone. Instead of kicking the ball so it couldn't be returned, he pooched it to the 3 and it was returned 40+ yards. Why? Wasn't that why they put Taylor in? It shortened the field tremendously.

No idea. They don’t cover kickoffs well either. I told my buddy on the phone before the kickoff that I bet the Raiders return it to at least the 35 or 40. Bingo.

If you have a kickback, it goes to the 35 now. If you plunk it in the target zone, they have to return it, or if it roles to a touchback, then it's from the 20. I'm guessing Taylor might have better accuracy and they were trying to hit the end of the target zone but LV just got a good return.

Yeah. It was the right play. You’re just not supposed to give up a 40 yard return.

The Bears have a ton of problems with their team, but for the first time in a while I don’t think either the starting QB or head coach are one of them.
hope not re Williams , but i’m not getting the warm fuzzy vibe yet .

Great read and video of the complete game. I'd almost rather watch this than the actual Bears game today!
I’ve watched that game before. The ???? On the graphic as Raiders QB to start the 2nd half is very LOL. Story goes Ray Guy refused to come out for the 2nd half as he was potentially gonna have to be the 2nd half qb as the emergency backup.

Really glad the Bears pulled this one out.
Only saw the second half, but on D there were so many missed tackles, yikes!
And on O, Caleb usually had plenty of time, but no open receivers.
I thought that would be one of the first things our new coach would get fixed.

I thought the Bears were going to pull a USC by scoring that TD too early and leaving the Raiders with too much time to go down and get the winning score but luckily the blocked field goal prevented that from happening

Understood but if Taylor has better accuracy why isn't he kicking off all the time?
