The Bears have more questions than answers on defense. A healthy Kyler Gordon would help. I hope Burden wasn’t hurt badly on the last play.

Can't give up 500 yards and win. Lots of work needed on defense.

The hook ‘n ladder play was too risky taking up too much time.
Also had 84 in the back of the end zone.
Is there a rule against us rushing more than 4 guys?

Luther Burden carted off field after last play. That is not good.
We need that game now. Big difference in playing GB or a team from the NFC West

Theoretically I agree with you but I don’t really like how the Bears match up against the Packers either. The fairy dust may not transfer to the playoffs. It will be difficult to do much with this defense in the playoffs.
Hey, there were 3 or 4 bad plays in the last minute, but the Bears still almost won on the last play.
Who had just making the playoffs on their bingo card even maybe 6 games ago?!
And I don't think there is any dominant team this year, so who knows what will happen?

That's too much of a risk on the final play to put it on Swift to make people miss. That throw 100% has to go to the end zone in that situation.
That's fair, and I definitely have the benefit of hindsight for validation with the play ultimately not working.
I will say though, when I saw Swift go out in motion and the safety was a good 5+ yards deep in the end zone at the snap I was thinking that was the play as it looked like it could have been an easy foot race to the pylon.
my only issue with Johnson is he overdoes the trickery stuff .
Entertaining to watch two hot offenses get after it.

Also, I may be wrong, but Jonah Jackson looked to be limping around a bit in the second half. That would be a big blow if he misses time.

Sounds like Burden is gonna be ok per Adam Schefter. For this year, they are what they are defensively. They appear to have an offense capable of winning on the road by scoring tons of points. They have a "punchers chance" to make a deep run but in reality it's gonna be up to the front office to beef up the defense to allow them to make deep runs in the coming years.
Caleb is young & makes some mistakes but he sure looks like a guy that is gonna win a Super Bowl before he is done. Offensively they remind me a bit of a poor man's version of the early 90's Cowboys. Tons of offensive talent and most of it is real young. That group hit a point where they improved exponentially. They went from making the divisional round in 91 to winning 3 of the next 4 Super Bowls. Once the Aikman, Smith, Irvin combo fully clicked it was near unstoppable for a 4 year stretch. That team had a much better defense which was part of the equation.
Not saying the Bears are poised for that kind of run but I wouldn't be shocked if they won it as soon as next season assuming the d gets beefed up a bit. I suspect they don't need a great defense just a decent one. Got to get off the field on 3rd & 7 most of the time. So much of that stems from the pass rush. A stud pass rusher would elevate the whole operation & make a guy like Sweat much more effective.

Ben Johnson got too cute again.
On 2nd down they snapped the ball with 20 seconds left. Enough time for 3 shots at the endzone. Instead, they got 1 cute play and 1 rushed play that fell apart. We'll never know if that lost 3rd play might have been the difference.
I'll take Ben Johnson for as long as he wants to stay in Chicago, but that was frustrating. It if works, awesome. If it doesn't, you cost yourself a lot of time and at least one more snap.
Defense.....please..........
Part of the value of the unconventional plays is to facilitate the conventional plays. When the defense is aware of possible abnormal plays it should help the regular plays. With all of the analytics, the more predictable a team is the easier for the defense to plan their approach. Campbell has started a revolution in Detroit with going for it on fourth down. Now more teams are doing it. In the future Ben Johnson may advance the use of more "trick" plays in the face of predictable analytics. The "trick" play may not work sometimes but it has the residual effect of planting some doubt in the mind of the defense as to what to expect. Go Ben Johnson.
