I'm not sure what is worse, reading through an Illinois basketball game thread or this thread during a bears game. I can't believe some people are calling for Caleb's or Ben's heads after the season we had.

This is the type of post that I have to read after the game or I'd be banned. My god, let's get rid of a #1 pick in his 1st year with his HC's system but everyone on the planet knows is 1 of the most talented QB's out there for another #1 pick Mendoza? Yeah. that would go great. I hope your post was of frustration at that point of the game and not of actual rational thinking.

The 85 Bears took a while to gel - I think today's Bears are going thru that same growth.
There really isn't a dominant team this year, so imo there's a definite chance our Bears can go all the way.
But in any event, they are clearly getting better with every game, so the future is truly bright indeed!

As much as I hate to say it, the Bears look like they're here to stay. They look like a team of Ditkas.

85 Bears may be the best team ever. Althugh extremely grateful, I never understood why their success didn't last. I don't see that this time.

FWIW - I've always hated the Vikings more than the Bears and have just pitied the Lions.
For the first time in memory, all 4 teams in the division look solid.
NFC North is getting real. Gonna a perpetual dogfight.

I asked Google how many quarterbacks in NFL history started every game in their first two seasons in the league, and it said the only two are Williams and Trevor Lawrence. I don’t know if that’s accurate or not. It’s remarkable how Williams runs all over the place making plays but really is able to avoid massive hits like he does, and then answers the bell every week.
