Minnesota only had 11 first downs and ran only 51 plays to the Bears 70. The Swift fumble was the big play in the game.

Hamstrings can be a problem for multiple weeks. They feel ok and you never know until you go full speed if you are fully recovered.

Can't put that on Santos. That was a total unit screw up.
1)High snap
2)Holder had trouble getting the ball down, which caused the timing to be off.
3)That guy came off the edge WAY too quickly. Almost seemed unblocked. That kick almost hit him in the chest. That's just inexcusable.
Just terrible execution.

Don’t even care that we lost. Just glad he’s back. Whether that’s this week or in a few weeks.

The game was there to win and they didn't.
How do you allow an unimpeded player to almost block the first FG and then easily block the second? How do you fumble on the one yard line?

The offense was really unprepared for that Vikings game. So many individual mistakes, even the last play a poor effort of blocking by Loveland gets the no. 2 qb concussed.
Very important differentiation. The first puts it on Johnson's lap and the second on the players.
Johnson is taking the heat and ridicule from the outside world. The truth is, he did his job.
As a coach, a parent or manager of any sort, all we can do is put people in position to succeed.
1)Swift fumbles on the goal line - 7 points
2)Roush(??) drops a ball that hit him in the hands, at two yard line, where all he has to do is catch and fall backwards. - 7 points
3)Williams pulls a hamstring at the 4 yard line, while he was lining up to truck the corner for a TD- 7 points.
4)Final drive dies on the 10 yard line because time ran out.
Now, I'm assuming the extra points are made, but that's 21 points + outcome of the last drive where they were in position.

The offensive line play was absolutely abysmal. The penalties had Greg Olsen screaming how terrible it was. Now, I suppose you can call it lack of preparation, but that's a stretch. Those were veteran guys making those errors.
Part of it is that it's hard to prepare for that type of sloppy weather, but we handled it worse than they did. We turned it over twice and made mistake after mistake. Not one turnover from Minny. By doing nothing, they won.
The Bears should have won that game comfortably. Those players were set up for success and screwed it up at every turn.
The problem is that "should have" doesn't count.
