Chicago Bears 2026-2027

I have a bad feeling that Monangai is going to be out for a while.
Those are extremely painful. It's a sprain when the toe gets bent upwards. The term "turf toe" makes it sound like it's a whatever injury. It's not different than what Caleb went through, it's just with the toe.

Grade 1 (Mild Sprains): Typically requires 1 to 2 weeks of modified activity or rest. You can usually return to normal activities once pain and swelling subside.

Grade 2 (Moderate Sprains): Generally keeps you out for several weeks (around 4 to 8 weeks). These cases often require taping, a rigid shoe insert or stiff-soled boot, and a gradual return to impact activities.

Grade 3 (Severe Sprains / Tears): Can sideline you for 3 to 6 months (or longer if surgical intervention and extensive rehabilitation are necessary).

My guess is that it's probably a grade 2 just because a 3 and he would have been placed on the IR. With the bye week coming up, that fits the grade 2 recovery time.

The Bears notoriously misdirect everything as day to day or a game time decision. He was ruled out pretty far in advance.

Very worrisome. Seattle is a whole different animal defensively. That offensive line is going to have to play their best game of the season. 3rd and short or Johnson's propensity to go for it on 4th down is probably not a great idea this week.

Is it just me?
I watched a couple Seahawks games and they looked OK but def not like a SB Champ.
Darnold did not make good decisions under pressure.
IMVHO, Bears pre-Simmons (and Sweat) would win this one.
Now? Seems like the Bears blow these guys out. (assuming Simmons plays and plays well)
And yet, pundits all like the Squawks.

JSN against the Bears secondary. That's why.
Hey, I get it, he is great.
But the Bears did fine without Sweat, now they have him back.
Add in Simmons, and Sweat is going to be even better, and Simmons?!
Simmons will be even better because the Bears >> TN
So, I'm thinking Darnold is going to have a tough day.
And won't be able to hit an open JSN that often.
Must see TV, for sure!

Most pundits are picking Seahawks...but I believe in Caleb and that Simmons is a force multiplier plus our team and coaches are elite...Bears win 33-27...

Just want to put it out there: the Peyton and Eli show is way superior to the Buck and Troy show. Should've been watching the whole time
