I did - but he never came back and played. Once you go and play for the enemy, you are tarnished IMO.
Meh, it's a business and tens of millions are at stake. Owners have to make dollars fit and players need to strike while the iron is hot. Keyboard warriors, like all fans are, cannot even begin to comprehend or fathom the amount of 0's on these offers.
There's no loyalty on the players side nor the owners side and the fans opinions change once the player contributes to success.
Dennis Rodman and Aroldis Chapman come to mind immediately. They were despised by the fans, came here and were celebrated.
If Micah Parsons rebounds next year and the following year he's was available, nobody would care that he was on the Packers if he got 15 sacks for us.
If Willson Contreras came back, was a DH, won the HR Derby and hit 30 HRs for the Cubs...it's amazing how quickly fans come back around.
If Kane has a phenomenal season and the Hawks get into the playoffs, you won't think any of those goals/assists are tarnished because it came off of Kane's stick.
