They already have too many OFs as it is. No need to increase the log-jam. Factoring in bat + defense, he's still the best option at 3B.
Then Jed needs to unlog-jam the OF. I’d rather see Wisdom in the field instead of Morel. Neither is a great option but I think Wisdom is the less bad option between him and Morel.

another wasted great pitching performance, this time against a dangerous braves lineup. too many hitters underperforming in this lineup

Fun fact: In Justin Steele's last 8 starts, the Cubs are 0-8.

Time to send Hendricks packing. Thanks for everything, but you're done. If he has no interest in being a reliever then he's of no use to this team.

I didn’t know we were playing this afternoon and i happened to see the score. Ouch. Then i looked at the box score to see who was pitching. I don’t know how long they’re going to keep trotting KH out there. If he was a young power pitcher who was having troubles with his location, that would be one thing. But he’s an aging finesse pitcher who just doesn’t have it anymore. Pull the plug. For the love of God, pull the plug.

Hendricks is maybe my favorite Cub of all time, but I have to think this has to be the end of the road for him. There are too many better options to keep pitching him every 5th day.

Hendricks needs to be DFA'd. If Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dumb in the FO and Owner's Suite are serious about winning, this cannot continue
in the words of Theo back in 2018 I believe, the offense is broken. even with nico and swanson in the lineup I don't think this is a very good offensive team with too many guys underperforming. something needs to be done with the bullpen and some hitting would help too. if you really want to be competitive this year you can't keep trotting out this bullpen and lineup

I was going to make some negative comment, but I believe that it has already been done. Piling on isn't my style. At least not today.

Kyle has zero margin of error. He's toast. Thank you for your service.
If and when Wicks comes back (can't assume anything with these porcelain dolls) something has to be done.
What is the least embarrassing for him ? Release or 8th reliever in the bullpen only used when game is out of hand? I suppose someone would pick him up if we retained 90% of his $16M.

Management wants them throwing much harder than they did in the past. It doesn't work for long with a few exceptions. There are also some guys who can get outs without the extreme velocity.

Iowa Cubs OF Brennon has 7 home runs in past 8 games. Two yesterday, including a grand slam. He's 24 and has gone through significant surgery and a couple of wasted years. Now he's on a major heater. Bring him up!!

I'm rooting for him big-time as he has persevered through a really rough patch...

The problem is the they have no choice. The time that makes changes was in the off-season. Unless they find some magic in their farm system, they're going to ride this out and hope to find some magic. They won't(and shouldn't) depleted their farm system to plug in one hole, when there are a lot of leaks.

We could definitely use an offensive spark.
