Why are they pushing Shota to the Milwaukee series instead of starting him tonight ? I have a feeling in September these Cardinal games might be bigger .
Would Taillon and Assad be on regular rest with their starts tonight and tomorrow? The Cardinals are still starting Mikolas and Gray.

I would say…this team is falling apart. Crumbling.
How Amaya is still in the majors is alarming. If he lets the ball come to him instead of lunging, that piano mover is out by 5 feet.
I look forward to never seeing him in Cubbie Blue againI see Suzuki is still making idiotic base running decisions.

I didn’t think the five-hop throw from Suzuki helped either.
It wasn't a great throw, but it beat the runner there. Should have been an out.
Their catchers are giving them absolutely nothing. Defensively and offensively. Striking out constantly and letting baserunners run wild. I think they should DH for the catchers and let the pitchers bat.
Treading water? I think you mean sinking.

This team is just playing inferior baseball. Every game there are 1 to 3 plays that just make me shake my head. Like watching a high school team at times. Suzuki getting.thrown out at second on a ball that stayed at the catcher's feet is one from yesterday.
