The new rule being that once you die then you are automatically removed from the permanently ineligible list. So it'll always be a bit late for anyone this rule applies too.

Turner [ W ]alk-off!
Turner doesn’t have to be great, or even all that good, to have a valuable role on this team. He just has to not suck out loud.
Amazingly, he is 8 for 14 with RISP. He is 2 for 45 otherwise.
I know at his age that skills can go quick, but he had some pretty decent months just last year. Lack of AB might be some of the issue, but hasn’t exactly done much to earn more. Still think he can be useful, and if he’s good in the clubhouse even better.

Wow - excellent news here!!!
Prior to the trade from LA, I knew him primarily as a 2B/3B (sorta like Sandberg while he was in the minors). Ballesteros to 1B, maybe? Keep Suzuki at DH.
So his low average is due to the crappy players in front of him not being in scoring position!!!!! C'mon guys!

Wow. I took it as a tongue in cheek comment, not a shot. Similarly, I was just pointing out a statistical anomoly, not advocating for Turner.
