see Baez , JavierSwanson in a situation where you just need contact, or you need to move a runner up a base, is not ideal.
God forbid a guy on the team who is trying to keep the mood light with an offense that's in a complete funk. It's obviously locker room humor. He was down in the tunnel where cameras couldn't see him and had Suzuki laughing, also having fun.So stupid for someone that is supposed to be a leader on this team.
I’m good to see Busch hit against the lefties.
Send this clown packing.
The only issue that I have with Counsell is moving Swanson back up in the order. He was clearly thriving in 7 or 8 hole.Soft tossing lefty to face Righty, Righty, Righty in the 10th. What could go wrong?
Don't worry though. You pay $5,000,000 for Craig Counsell to make these decisions AND you get a bonus 3rd base coach that gets a guy thrown out at home once a week by 30 feet.

Likely going to split a 4 game set at home against the worst team in the NL since the Rockies aren't really a major league baseball team. The only issue that I have with Counsell is moving Swanson back up in the order. He was clearly thriving in 7 or 8 hole.
The Cubs have lost their #1 and #2 starters this year and are 15 over .500 and we'll out ahead of the division. His guys need to be a TON better situationally. All he can do is put them in position to win. The players, specifically the stars, need to pick up their end of the couch.

I mean it's not all Counsell's fault. Most of this lineup has proven that they can't hit top of the line pitchers. Our 3 hole hitter is an automatic out almost against any good pitcher. He gets struck out in 3 pitches 1-2 times per game. He rarely has productive outs. Most of this lineup has been proven as average at best MLB players. We added Kyle Tucker to the lineup, but he's been struggling.
We probably make the playoffs, but every starting pitcher we face in the playoffs will be guys most of our lineup simply do not produce against.
Because we have an inept video person feeding him poor information LOL.It's pretty hard to believe that we won 3 out of 4 in a series (and could have easily swept) where we only score 9 runs. (That includes 2 extra innings with ghost runners)
Why didn't Counsel challenge the first baseman foot off the bag in the first?
Did they pick up the Bears guy?Because we have an inept video person feeding him poor information LOL.
Interesting. Wonder if that's just bad luck or if their conditioning/strength team is (at least) part of the problem...The Dodgers have 17 pitchers on the IL including Snell, Sasaki, Treinan, Glasnow, Gonsolin, and Graterol.
With their payroll, I have 0 sympathyThe Dodgers have 17 pitchers on the IL including Snell, Sasaki, Treinan, Glasnow, Gonsolin, and Graterol.

I mean maybe, but there are also 90 games left and these teams are all like within 4-5 games of each other. Dodgers could still easily be the #1 seed or miss the playoffs altogether. Over half the season leftIt’s interesting for Cubs fans because, the way things are playing out, the Dodgers look like a strong possibility to be the future Divisional round opponent.
That was a shot!PCA dee-stroyed that ball.
