Humiliated yet again.

Jettison the chronic losers like Seiya that have been around since the garbage rebuild and pray their pathetic baseball doesn’t rub off on the young guys

Ben Brown is not a starter without a quality 3rd pitch. Time to transition him to a bullpen role in Iowa
In Iowa? They can use 98 mph out of the pen with the big club right now. My guess is that's where he ends up an the end of the week. He's got the stuff to be a high leverage guy in the 7th. Like you said, without a third quality pitch, the third time through the order is too much. We saw that again tonight.

Seth Lugo is a name I'd like to see thrown around more as an option for the Cubs' rotation woes.

Bleacher Nation wrote a little about potential trade fit with Arizona, too. (Merrill Kelly/Zach Gallen for the rotation, Eugenio Suarez for 3B).

Reds have Chase Burns
Pirates have Skenes
Brewers have that tall freak.

We’ve got nobody.

Not sure what is more concerning the last week or two - the abysmal starting pitching or the lackadaisical play.

I don’t know about the decision to bunt there by pca. A ground ball or deep fly ties the game.

Counsell should have immediately pulled PCA after that fielding blunder. Inexcusable.

Really? To what end? He made a stupid mistake. He knew he made a stupid mistake. He’s not a player with a history of lackadaisical mistakes. By all means show up a player. Even better show up your young star and take your best defensive and one of your best offensive players out of a game. Thankfully Counsel isn’t that stupid and if he did that I’d hope every leader on the team is in his office after the game pointing out the idiocy of such a short-sighted move. If you saw PCA’s interview after the game, he knew he messed up and made no excuses.

Now I’m sure Counsel or someone on staff talked to him about the bunt and why it wasn’t a good baseball play. PCA had a bad game. Move on.

Pretty obvious Jed Hoyer should be fired.

Rest of the division capable of developing aces. Hoyer throws tons of money at Jameson Taillon.

We have more resources by far than anyone in the division and this pathetic little man can’t seem to control the division.

Misiorowski from Milwaukee has been electric since his debut. Excited (from a fan-of-baseball perspective) for the Cubs to face him this season at some point.

Dansby Swanson is hitting .178 with runners on base this year. Hardly a fluke based on the last few years of results.

Keep hitting him 5th though, Craig.

$40,000,000 for that decision making.

Electric at bat there by Seiya

Pitch 1 = curve middle middle watches for a strike
Pitch 2 = fastball 8 inches high strike 2 swung through
Pitch 3 = waste fastball taken for ball
Pitch 4 = infield pop up

Little league at bats for the documented and chronic loser.

No, he shouldn't. His teammates saw what happened, his coaches saw what happened, the fans in the stadium saw what happened and a large TV audience saw what happened. He doesn't need to be benched or embarrassed further as a reminder. Now, if he had a history of not paying attention or if it happens again..... different story. The kid plays balls to the wall every game. He has saved them a TON of runs with his play in CF. Things happen.

Now, if I had to pick at him, it wouldn't be for his defense. I'm not sure why the bunt. The 4th guy in your order can't be looking to lay one down with 1st and 3rd and only one out. That spot in the order is expected to do damage. I'd love you hear what went behind that decision.
