As someone who feels like they know baseball, I still can't look at the Brewers roster and understand how they can be winning at the rate they are. Pitching is fantastic, so it keeps them in low-scoring games but their offense has just been unreal at the same time. Andrew Vaughn was absolute trash for the White Sox and now is hitting at an All Star level. Pretty crazy.
Adding a legit, in-house frontline starter via injury recovery in Woodruff has been a huge factor (not to mention Misiorowski being electric). Megill and Uribe at the back end of the bullpen have been lights out.

Yes, putting Woodruff and Misiorowsi into an already hot rotation was nice. Bullpen hasn't missed a beat.

I read in the game recap that Amaya was carted off the field in the eighth after an ankle injury running to first

I’d guess they don’t “sit” anyone, but rather use Owen to give rest to OF and DH with him playing 4-5 games a week.

Owen Caissie looks like Rusty Staub for all of us old timers.

Time to clear this roster of all the losers. Happ, Suzuki, Swanson, etc. None of these guys are ever helping this team win a world series. Start over with the new guys and build around them.

Been a while since the hitting coach was the made the goat. 15 hitting coaches since 2012 and now I believe. Overdue to make another meaningless change there.
Incompetence hired by incompetence. When it's the same terrible decision makers up top, only the names of the scape goats change

I haven't watched the last 4 or 5 games and I don't know what got into me to watch today. That 8th inning put me over the top. I'm done.
Ian Happ couldn't do any worse if he went to the plate with a cup of coffee.
I know this is a meatball reaction, but at this point, I don't want them to have the satisfaction of making the playoffs. Especially Ricketts, Hoyer and Hawkins.
Illini football starts in 15 days.

Lol. I know the feeling. When i was a kid in the early 70’s watching the Cubs during their annual June swoon, i would throw temper tantrums during their long losing streaks, once i threw my baseball glove in frustration which of course landed on the dining room table and knocked one of my mom’s favorite plates off, breaking it. Sorry mom, collateral damage. She was not happy. The f’ing Cubs will do that to you. At least now I’m not breaking things.

Looking forward to football.
