In all a seriousness, it’s not a bad pickup as we need a back up 1st baseman. Turner is not here so we had a hole top be plugged. Why spend an arm and a leg for a guy who will play 25% of the time? He does hit lefties at a good clip.
Yeah kind of an unconventional way to plug that gap, so I don't mind it. Comes fairly cheap and if he mashes lefties, will be a nice platoon to Busch.
We are set positionally. We could use a utility infielder but the majority of the money we recouped from the end of the season needs to go to getting a starter and reloading the pen, which we have done a solid job so far.
