Alcantara called up, Lopez DFA’d. Today’s lineup shakeup is PCA leading off then Bregman, Busch, Hoerner, Conforto, Suzuki, Ballesteros, Amaya, and Swanson.

I’m trying to stay optimistic but it’s hard not to feel that this team is in major trouble.

Three hits. 1. a pop up that the second baseman lost in the sun. 2. Single by PCA who was thrown out stealing on the next pitch. 3. Single with 2 out in the 9th.

Why bring these guys up just to sit them? PH for both Ramirez and Alcantera? Might as well see if they can do better than the veterans who’ve been sucking for the last three weeks. Some have sucked the entire year (Swanson, I’m looking at you).

They have hit bottom and started digging.
Almost impossible to believe that this team had TWO ten game winning streaks.

With proven players, the only thing that fixes this complete lack of confidence is finding some sort of success. As bad as the offense has been, not falling being 2-0, 3-0, etc in the first three innings would be ideal. Have the had a lead in any of the games since the Sox extra innings loss?

Sports phycology presenting itself with the Cubs.

Losing, is a disease, as contagious as polio, but ah....curable.

What movie???

When does football start?

Man, I have tickets for 2 Cub games in Miami. They will be in dead last by then, something like 29-110. I wonder who all they will sell at the trade deadline, (or sooner). I'll probably be watching an almost entirely new team.

I'm ice skating with my daughter while we are there, that will probably be the highlight instead of the Cubs.
