Every Cubs pitcher is made of glass. This is ridiculous.

The best thing that could happen for the Cubs is a full season lockout next year. They need to circle the wagons and really take a hard look at what they have and who can be counted on.Jed's grand strategy
The question has become not IF the Cub starter that day will be hurt, it is now what inning he will be hurt.Every Cubs pitcher is made of glass. This is ridiculous.
I don’t like the lockout part of your post but they have to do the second part in the off season. I’m not sure how they can cobble together a pitching staff. The best thing that could happen for the Cubs is a full season lockout next year. I thought he struggled quite a bit again. I’m sure he’s out for 6-8 weeks at least. The question has become not IF the Cub starter that day will be hurt, it is now what inning he will be hurt.
This was a positive start. He went 5 innings before the injury.
He did struggle. The "positive start" was an attempted joke because he made it 5 innings before getting hurt.I thought he struggled quite a bit again. I’m sure he’s out for 6-8 weeks at least.
This is reminding me of 1985 all over again. To me this a sign of how our pitching in the minor leagues as far as development is concerned is not up to par.
Sorry, my sarcasm radar is off. Which is rare for me.He did struggle. The "positive start" was an attempted joke because he made it 5 innings before getting hurt.
The Cubs need 7+ innings each from both Imanaga and Assad today.
truth is stranger than fictionSteele, Boyd, Wiggins, Brown, Cabrera, Taillon, Horton all on the IL now. That’s 7 of top 10 starters in the system all hurt at the same time.
Also their closer, Palencia.
At what point does the pitching coach, training staff and/or S & C staff need to come into question? Is it poor off-season preparation? An injury or two happens. That's just life in pro sports. This is WAY outside of what could be considered reasonable.Steele, Boyd, Wiggins, Brown, Cabrera, Taillon, Horton all on the IL now. Assad goes a whole 5.I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the odds of both of them going 7+ are very slim.
I don't disagree with you but the Boyd and Cabrera injuries were just one of those things that happen. I think you can definitely question why Cabrera was bad this season. Also this organization's communication about injuries seems terrible to me. I don't follow the rest of the league that much so maybe it's a common thing in MLB.At what point does the pitching coach, training staff and/or S & C staff need to come into question?
