Sure they can. Instead of taking the consensus #1 (Roch Cholowsky — UCLA, SS), they could take an under slot guy. While there are benefits to that, I believe Roch is the only guy with an overall grade of 65.I mean, you really cant goof that up can you ?
I’m not sure if he is a generational talent. But can Sox trade the pick? I thought only competitive balance and maybe compensatory picks can be traded. But to answer your question, even if they can they shouldn’t. MLB draft is too much of a crap shoot. Take the guy with a 65 gradeSo is there a generational talent available, or should we trade the nbr 1 pick for several still in the first round??
Ucla baseball caps are so odd in that they have a letter B on them. it took me a few seconds . not sure if any other schools do that .The last number one selection worked out pretty well.
Roch Cholowsky your Hall of Fame career awaits you.

difficulty ? how so?He might be that. Now let's hope they can build a ballpark on the South Side for him to play in one day. The potential new Sox owner is in a bit of difficulty right now and that doesn't help the future of the franchise.

Yeah, but first overall #1 pick in franchise history didn’t work out so well. The last number one selection worked out pretty well.

From what I read that is the other brother. We have one brother and that is the other brother. His defense for that is that the value of the franchise has increased, the fan experience has become better, and he pumping money into winning. He says his minority owners don't want to spend money and are sueing him because of that. The two potential Sox owner-brothers have an ownership interest in the Phoenix Suns and are now being sued for what is alleged as financial misconduct with the franchise. This creates issues both with the law and the NBA.
Hopefully they can get this sorted out. If not, that just further muddles up the looming ownership issue with the White Sox.

Yeah, I'm hoping the brother is tellimg the truth and we have the anti-Reinsdorf coming in and the guys sueing him are Reinsdorf-like and just want more money.Let's hope for two things. First, that justice is served. And second, that somehow this works out OK for the White Sox. Lord knows Sox fans have put up with too much nonsense for the past 50 years.
Is Anthony Kay a good get?!

In the article you linked there was a list of comparables. Not an impressive list but he’s young and the risk is worth it.![]()
