I couldn't find anywhere that specifically mentioned Chief clothing but I found a pretty sweet shirt at American Eagle.

The NCAA Official Store ironically still sells Chief merchandise.
If you can provide a link to that, I would appreciate it. I just went through all 14 pages of Illinois merchandise listed at the NCAA Official Store and didn't find a single Chief item. If I can find proof that they are, in fact, hypocritically benefitting from selling Chief items while basically banning the U of I from doing so, I will be writing a letter to several newspapers.
Several years ago, the NCAA bullied the University of Illinois into dropping the use of Chief Illiniwek as an enhancement of the band’s halftime performances. In addition, the university was made to discontinue selling any merchandise with the Chief Illiniwek logo, as it was deemed hostile and offensive.
If the university hadn’t obliged, it would have faced sanctions, including, but not limited to, the loss of the right to host any postseason play in any sport.
Therefore, forgive me if I find this to be the most blatant example of hypocrisy I’ve encountered. If you go to the official NCAA football store online and do a search for “Illinois” merchandise, you will be able to purchase several items (hats, T-shirts, etc.) with the Chief Illiniwek emblem. So the very institution that stopped the university from selling Chief Illiniwek merchandise because it was supposedly harmful to Native Americans is itself benefiting from such sales.
I find that to be perfectly repugnant.

I knew I shouldn't have linked to it. Look. I agree with the content of the letter 10000000%. The NCAA will continue to rake in hundreds of millions of dollars, with or without chief merchandise. I know you're arguing for the principle behind it but there really are no online stores for out of state fans to buy chief gear from.
The AE Chief shirt is on clearance for $12
Saw someone walking on campus the other day with a button on her backpack, so I decided to do a search. T.I.S. bookstore still has merchandise. The buttons are only $1 and pretty cool. They also have hats, cups, and photos left.
