Louisville loved pitino but felt like they had to abort. They has no choice, almost as if they were being extorted. They have talked multiple times. Also do you think Louisville really wanted to fire Rick? No they just had no choice.

I know a lot of folks that went to IUPUI, including my best friend. It was/is a good school. Mostly a commuter school, but the combined IU & Purdue programs gave it a huge offering of courses and majors for a commuter school. My thing with defending IUPUI is that they give kids from lower income families an honest-to-God opportunity to go to school out of state if they want to see what it's like outside of Illinois and get a decent degree, not unlike going to UIC instead of UIUC in order to save some money. Working primarily in Title I schools, that matters.
Add to it the fact that they're not really a rival, it feels like punching down a few weight classes to me is all.
Shows ya what I know. They have talked multiple times. Also do you think Louisville really wanted to fire Rick? No they just had no choice.

"I don't have a very large contract with Iona. I think it can be put on one page," said Pitino, who also told WFAN he drew interest from Holy Cross. "But I can tell you right now; the only school that can afford me with my buyout is Fort Knox University. I don't think with the type of buyout that I have -- and I'm even too embarrassed to tell you the number it's so scary -- Iona is definitely my last stop. I almost laugh at the buyout it's so comical. And they still wound up with a vacated championship. It's really odd to look back at all the recruiting violations in light of how the NCAA eventually lost it's fight to keep players from any kind of compensation outside of attendance. Those were violations to be sure (with hookers no less), but somehow it doesn't seem the same after the lawsuits finally turned the tide in favor of players being able to earn outside compensation.
With all the vacancies, makes me think he's not going to stay long...
Was use of this word intentional? If so, spot onLouisville loved pitino but felt like they had to abort. They has no choice, almost as if they were being extorted.
Or as we used to refer to it - Ooie-PooieThat would be IUPUI: Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis

Rex Chapman has a new book out. Says he took a pay cut to leave UK to go pro
Rex Chapman shared he was making more money in college than the NBA at one point: "I took a pay cut to leave school"
Chapman admitted during the interview that he was making more money with the Wildcats than in his inaugural NBA season.
"Well, first, I was making money in college. They were giving — I was being paid in college under the table, so I had some money. That's part of how I got to UK, so yeah. As much as I needed. Yeah, as much as I ever needed I could go — I knew where to go to get it. Many times it was just given to me, but. Yeah, boosters — boosters, yeah. And before I left — before I left I was offered $700,000 to stay another year at Kentucky. This is in the '80s. Right, in the '80s," Chapman said.
They're mostly commuter but they're also part of the MSEP, which gives Midwest students cheaper tuition out of state. I've had a few kids make it out of rough situations thanks to that, so I have a soft spot for the school and was bummed to hear about the split.I know a lot of folks that went to IUPUI, including my best friend. It was/is a good school. Mostly a commuter school, but the combined IU & Purdue programs gave it a huge offering of courses and majors for a commuter school.
IU and Purdue had several joint schools around the state - IUPUI, IUPFW, and others. They all split over the last few years, mostly with one or the other school taking over - for example, IUPFW is now Purdue Fort Wayne. IUPUI was the only one where both schools are keeping part of the campus, so it's split has been the most complicated.
Does Brad not talk to recruits?Wasn’t he considered the lead recruiter on Fears (understanding that Fears was one recruit BU decided to speak with?
lol. He’s a lot more active recruiting than he used to be.Does Brad not talk to recruits?
^^^I would like the 10 minutes of my life back that I just spent figuring out that UIndy is University of Indianapolis and not some weird shorthand for Indiana University (which I assumed is what Rothstein meant and that this Corsaro fella was an Asst. Coach there or something -- yes, I now realize he probably would have said "IndyU's" if that were the case) and then that IU Indianapolis is the same as IUPUI. Wtf!
I have absolutely no inside information but I cannot believe, under any circumstances, that would be the direction Louisville would go.
I just like saying euuuuuuuwie peuuuuuuuwieThat would be IUPUI: Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis

I'm assuming he'll have to shake up his staff? Can't imagine anyone is interested in seeing him just run it back for another year.John Calipari Will Return as Kentucky HC Despite March Madness Upset Loss to Oakland
