I thought it was mentioned as well that us wanting/taking Skyy was part of it as well?We just passed because he couldn’t shoot. That’s it.
I may be wrong, but I thought it had more to do with his shot! I believe the staff wanted to see more from him in that regard, while MSU was willing to take him regardless! And the scuttlebutt at the time was that he wasn't worth the trouble.
Aaaaaaaaand now we have his brother.
Soooooo, what's the deal with that?
Really, the only thing wrong with the scheme, besides consistent effort, was having Coleman guard the center position. Teams saw that was our glaring weakness and immediately took it at him, some more effectively than others. Of course, the only other option was to play Dain at that position, but that took the team out of its offensive strategy.I tend to think the blame put on Hamer for our defensive lapses is overblown on this board. This team could defend. The main missing ingredient was often consistent effort. I think tournament season showed there was nothing necessarily wrong with the scheme.
If it were, say, Brad Underwood's decision, would we be replacing him?If it was my decision ... Yes ...
Mainly because I know who could replace him ...
LeBron James is notoriously cheap. He has admitted that he won't use his phone unless it is on wifi. He uses Pandora with commercials because he won't pay for it. The suggestion that he would give millions to USC for a teammates for Bronny is questionable. So what are the chances that Lebron decides that he can help Bronnie's status by buying USC a real team to go with the new coach? He'd never miss the money and could fund NIL alone. USC needs some sort of major help and Bronnie would be assured a college career (purchased by dad).
I thought word on the street is one more year if he didn't get Michigan ?Count me in the camp that is confused and shocked that Fran is still at Iowa, haha.

Think he needs a new agent who is a bit more subtle! Not true ... His agent did but Brad did not speak with anyone from USC directly ...
And people forget that Geoff is Brad's guy ... That's a 30+ year relationship ... Brad is not going to do him dirty ...
And Geoff got us both Jeremy and Jeremiah Fears ... People forget that ...
No one would ever know about it if Indy didn't say anything. He is just keeping y'all in the loop.Think he needs a new agent who is a bit more subtle!
Wasn't saying anything about Indy it was in regards to the YouTube video on Brad interviewing with USC I saw 2 days ago. Figured with all that was going on the rumor started because his agent was talking to people again. No one would ever know about it if Indy didn't say anything. He is just keeping y'all in the loop.
I just think it's a really strange situation. If we just go by the rumors/vibe and things I have seen from Iowa fans online, the following two dynamics seem to be very much simultaneously at play:I thought word on the street is one more year if he didn't get Michigan ?
Yup, for all the hoopla over their last couple teams with Garza and the Murray twins they still haven't won a B1G regular season title in 45 years or made a S16 in 25 years.I also think Iowa is a decently hard place to win big.
The greatest thing in the world is a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe.MLT maybe? I am impressed with his breakdowns of what the Illini do/try to do. Is he considered in high regard by you and others with your insight and connections?

Pretty much the most overinflated sense of self-worth of any B1G program IMO
I thought the recruiting thread was the sandwich thread !The greatest thing in the world is a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe.
He's only mostly dead. The greatest thing in the world is a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe.
