What % chance do u think we’re actually looking for a new coach in a week or so?Pru ... You just gotta trust me my friend ...
And maybe ... We could get someone better than Sean ... That is always on the table as well ...
Brad is the right guy for the Illinois job. I would be hugely disappointed if Brad left, and we ended up with Miller. One could argue Miller has underperformed as a coach compared to the talent he has had. At least Self got NC's from playing the shady pre-NIL recruiting game. Miller didn't even get to a final 4 doing the same. But I look at the last 5 years, and I look at brads last 5 years, and I see completely different coaches.
I would think Miller is a downgrade from Brad, because he certainly didn’t inspire confidence to stay at AZ no? Missed the tourney altogether this year. In the new era of NIL, coaching records pre 2020 carry a lot less water. It’s all about how you can operate in this new world, and Sean doesn’t seem like he’s got that figured out yet
If Underwood leaves give me Sean Miller, Chris Beard, or Billy Donovan.Pru ... You just gotta trust me my friend ...

Does anyone really want Brad to leave Illinois? I highly doubt it.It’s certainly not a great situation if Brad leaves. Even if you replace him with a good candidate it’s never a guarantee and may set the program back 1-2 years. I’m just trying to say, I’d rather we don’t lose Brad than we do lose Brad. That shouldn’t get lost

I think the boosters look at a slightly bigger picture than that, hope you can see that as well. Underwood is the perfect guy for Illinois at this time.I can't imagine the UK boosters will be thrilled with a coach that gave up a 30-0 run in the NCAA tournament to replace Cal who was already underachieving in the tourney
@Indy Illini Fan Interesting to not see Hoiberg on the wish list. Highly successful at Iowa State and now winning at Nebraska.
I see that here but we aren't Kentucky level crazyI think the boosters look at a slightly bigger picture than that, hope you can see that as well. Underwood is the perfect guy for Illinois at this time.
Just out of curiosity, who else besides sean miller could be potential guys for Illinois?Fred is a great dude ... He couldn't handle it here ...
As always, appreciate the responseFred is a great dude ... He couldn't handle it here ...
I don't want excuses, I want resultsBeard would not happen ...
Billy would not happen ...
that staff is shaping up to be a pain no?Unrelated but sounds like Dusty May could potentially be adding a significant guy to his staff ...
