Steve Kerr? Man, this is getting out of hand.

Brad the Dad really shouldn't be looking at other programs now. He is in position to achieve his goals, at Illinois. I suppose he could just bring all the portal-ers with him to Shangri-La in the Bluegrass state. I feel like he isn't that shallow though.

I would think Miller is a downgrade from Brad, because he certainly didn’t inspire confidence to stay at AZ no? Missed the tourney altogether this year. In the new era of NIL, coaching records pre 2020 carry a lot less water. It’s all about how you can operate in this new world, and Sean doesn’t seem like he’s got that figured out yet

Brad is the right guy for the Illinois job. I would be hugely disappointed if Brad left, and we ended up with Miller. One could argue Miller has underperformed as a coach compared to the talent he has had. At least Self got NC's from playing the shady pre-NIL recruiting game. Miller didn't even get to a final 4 doing the same.

(1) Kentucky having interest in Underwood is scary.

(2) Playing out the many coaching carousel permutations, I need someone to explain why anyone believes Underwood would go to Kansas State. I’m well aware of his past connection but in NIL era and his past chances to go but getting rebuffed, it would reek of agent creating a bogey man.

I am in the minority, I'm pretty ambivalent towards Underwood. I don't dislike him, but I also don't love him like others do. I'd be quite happy if Miller ended up here, and wouldn't lose a minute of sleep. I'd personally view it as an upgrade.

I don't think it happens though. I don't know if Oats would sign an extension and take a new job before the ink is even dry, but I'm sure there's going to be big money thrown around and Alabama is a nothing in the basketball world, just like Kentucky is a nothing in the football world. I think Kentucky gets one of their top 2.
