In the last 5 years, he has 1 tournament appearance. He was shut out of it the last 3 years at AZ. Made it to the S16 2 years ago, but was an NIT team this year.
Why is this an upgrade from Brad? Why can’t we go after someone younger with clear NIL understanding than a Brad Underwood Lite?

you take the best two players off of any team, and they are probably going to the NIT. Miller has won everywhere he has been at.
That sounds way to high risk high reward for my liking.

I trust Whitman, I do think Miller is an excellent choice, but I absolutely do not want to lose Underwood.
Walking through the 2007-2019 desert taught me never trust the unknown unless it is necessary.
Well this dices stuff up. Cal working with Arkansas to announce this on the eve of the title game is just well-played and it seems UK fans are rejoicing everywhere

It is a testament to how well Josh, Brad, and co have turned around the basketball program that if Brad decided to leave, the job would be filled super fast. It wasn't too long ago that Illinois was on third or fourth choice in finding a coach. Coach Underwood has been an absolute home run hire for the program.
