Well if Donovan’s the top target it sounds like the carousel will be halted for a few weeks while the Bulls season wraps up. If that’s the case and he DOESNT wind up going to UK, it could cause some real chaos for the programs affected by the UK hire depending on how late in the offseason it is

I might dream of glory: Knute Rockne will coach 'em up next year in the State Farm Center (Assembly Hall to my peers).

Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Muhammed Ali, Flo Jo, Walt Frazier and Clint Eastwood will be signing on for the new O&B unis, one right after the other, starting Thursday at 08:00. (Clint isn't that accurate, but who wants to test that .45 Magnum?)

Pancakes and coffee (ok, laced with bourbon for the lushes) will be served right here on Loyalty at daybreak as we get filled in on the latest: will Brad be decked out in Kentucky blue as the sun's rays backlight Rupp arena? Or will he be leading the next expedition to Mars? Or instead return to Illinois basketball?

I say he'll be back in Champaign. We get Storr, Boswell and two other guys at least over the next seven days.

And then we can debate, politely, the pros and cons of NCAA basketball recruiting in 2024-25.

I think that might be the reason he doesn’t get the UK job …

UK does not have weeks to wait … They need someone and they need someone soon …

Why can’t he accept a job tomorrow and finish out with the Bulls still?

When's the last time the Bulls let a coach finish out his contract? They been paying multiple coaches to coach other teams for years

Oates still makes the most sense to me. Cal isn't winning enough for them in the tourney.

Oates has record at bama... missed tour, sweet 16, rd 64, sweet 16, final 4.

I feel like Brad might seem like a disappointment for many UK fans. Obviously we realize what a fantastic job he's done to get the program back on track, but for BBN fans looking at his resume, he has one trip to the second weekend and he's never recruited a top 25 player.

Oates and Drew both have him beat in terms of NCAA tourney success and bringing in top tier recruits Kentucky is used to getting. So do Sean Miller and Bruce Pearl for that matter. It would be interesting to see how their fanbase would react. I feel like smart ones would know how good he is, but I could see many being underwhelmed.

Obviously I hope we don't find out.
