I think we can ...

But if it meant naming Tyler HC in waiting would you do it ?? (just a hypothetical ... I am not saying Brad would demand that) ...
I can answer that.

This is what frustrates me year after year with BU. He’s built his culture. He’s got his everyday guys. Everyone seems to have bought in. He has massive support from his AD. Great facilities; great staff budget. He’s building something year after year. He’s made IL basketball into a destination for strong prep and the best portal players.

Yet every year it seems like the insiders indicate that he’s not necessarily above bailing on us for “greener pastures”.

We criticize a player for bailing out on IL. Like, “oh they’re not an EDG. They must be soft.” But if a blue blood comes looking for a coach, it’s just a part of the landscape of college basketball.

So you think Sean ends up at UK? Given the above statement and your previous mention that it's probably between Brad and Sean.

I just have a really hard time seeing Drew or Billy at UK ...

Oats is out ... Otz would not take it ... Hurley would use it as leverage on UCONN maybe ... But does he even need it ?

Brad and Sean ... Golden ? I mean who else is realistic ... Curious if you guys have any names you might think about if you were AD ?

Billy D has an NBA job for life basically with an owner that doesn't care about winning. Nothing he has done since he got to the league would get him another job there.

Is he cool with being mid for the foreseeable future or does he have a passion to win again?

I have heard Brad is very high on their list ... And that's from multiple agents who are involved in this search ...

I think Brad is a better fit than Sean at UK ... But that's just my opinion ... 🤷‍♂️

And I really think there's a chance it's Todd Golden ... Someone young ... People like him ... Navigates the portal well ... Elite offensive mind ...
One has to wonder … why are you feeding this frenzy?

Can you imagine Kentucky fan reaction to that hire.

It might be soft to run away from a challenge. It's probably not soft to run toward one. Certain things can make top tier jobs easier, but other things can make them significantly more difficult. Brad wouldn't be taking the UK job because he's giving up; he would be taking it because he wants to take on the challenge. It's the opposite of backing down.

So is Drew out?

Not officially but the Drews are private school people ... And Drew is just like the complete opposite of Cal ... He doesn't have an edge to him ...

Could he handle UK ??

Baylor has a brand new facility ... Crap ton of NIL ... What's the incentive to leave the place where you have won a national championship already ?

And they are going to build a statue of you ...

Not much incentive if you ask me ...

Heard Juwan Howard is available🤣

Since it's already crazy, Muss turns a cheek on USC before the paint in his new office dries and goes to UK!

Atman - no, Cronin - No, Kelvin - no, Self - no, hurley - doubtful, Lloyd - doubtful, buzz Williams - no, Kenny Payne - lol

Ya, basically Sean or Brad

I am not sure what to make of it either. It seems inconsistent. But who knows if the rumors here really capture what is going through Underwood's mind. It is amazing how a little more insight or knowledge can completely change the perception of someone's action.

But like you, I am bothered by the perception and basically hope I am wrong in that perception.

I mean....if they don't back the Brinks up to Sean Miller....they are fools. I understand the "fit" question...but I would hand him the keys and say make it yours.

The Old Kentucky won't cut it in the New Portal World. Their fan base better get on board. 5 star MdAA ain't gonna get it done anymore.

We went from 'it won't get past Donovan or Drew' this morning to now Brad is almost definitely going to get an offer.

The Coaching Carousel is fluid.

B/c Barnhart consults Illinois Loyalty when he’s got a tough decision and can’t make up his mind, and his number one most trusted poster is Indy. Duh.

Underwood has a plenty-big challenge for himself that HE has underlined many times: win a national championship at Illinois. I say: do it.
