Waco wouldn't be on my top 50 places of where not to live. Not a paradise for sure but not a hellhole either.
I've been there. Would I want to live there? No. But like most somewhat sizeable towns there are some very good parts and some bad parts. If you're making millions you could easily live in those very good parts and it would be quite nice. Plus you're only a bit over an hour from the Austin and DFW metros.

Agreed!

Absurd.....why would he even bother mentioning those graduates?
The point is kids finished with either an NBA roster spot or a degree (and in a few cases both).

Guys didn't leave Cal's Kentucky on bad terms, and rarely made mistakes in terms of going pro. He was connected to the right people and gave good advice in that regard, and kids knew he'd be honest with them if the draft was their best move.

He was a terrifying evil renegade in 2009 or whatever, but now, in NIL World, we look back on what Cal was running as a model program in many respects.

Again, call me overly dramatic but we need to pay Brad WHATEVER he asks for if it gets to that point. This is the flagship university of a massive state with plenty of wealth, a HUGE alumni base, Big Ten TV money and a program that is humming along with amazing fan support, facilities and other built-in advantages.

If Brad Underwood is just obsessed with Lexington, KY or Rupp Arena, specifically, then fine ... but if basketball programs like Alabama and Baylor can fend off UK, Illinois should be able to, as well.

This is both crazy and totally believable. Like I get that he turned down the job, but the fact that it got this far only to not happen is such a bad look for Kentucky.
