Yep. If you’re a die hard UK fan and you see Mark Pope walk off that bus hoisting the trophy just like he did in 1996 today?!?! You’re pumped. Frankly I’m pumped for him and I’d love to see him succeed. The problem most of us have with UK as Illinois fans is 1984 obviously, and then Rick and Cal doing it below board so obviously for so long. We have no other reason to hate them do we? I mean, we have almost as good a track record as them in the last 5 years. Almost lol….
As someone who reads nearly every single post on ALL off Illinois Loyalty, and has done so since nearly it's inception, it's so painfully obvious which posters just hop on here and respond to a specific post or, in most cases a single phrase in a larger post. There is a lot of wisdom in the phrase, 'Better to be thought a fool (uniformed reader/poster) than to open one's mouth (Keyboarding of course) and remove all doubt.... Context is a thing. History & Track Record is a thing. I just think wayyy too many people read something and feel they have to respond immediately..... Take the time to read EVERY post, check someones post history before accusing, read OTHER peoples responses... If there are 10+ pages to read in the thread it is ALWAYS a good idea to hold your thoughts until you've finished. If those thoughts are still there, then elaborate, ask for clarification, engage in DISCUSSION. Don't assume you know what's in someone else's head.
And I say that from experience..... I've been reincarnated on IL many, many times, lol. Opening my mouth quicker than I should have, not thinking things through or misunderstanding the context, not reading the full thread, all of that. Posting late at night after a few too many libations has always been my greatest fault. But NO ONE can doubt my Illini Loyalty.... I've taken my lumps, served my temporary AND permanent bans, and become a more mellow and thoughtful poster.... I love all my Illini brethren!! Even the ones I have on IGNORE.... I still peek in on them once in a while.... haha. I-L-L ....

That wasn’t a Loyalty auto-correct, IIRC it was a misquote in a tweet by a Chicago TV sports guy following a Dwayne Wade interview talking about Ayo.
Ahhh, I thought it was an auto-correct of dominant recruits...... still solid gold!!
No... it was "diamond in the rough." The reporter thought Wade said "dominant erupt" and that's what he quoted him as saying in his Tweet.
