lol…
This is one of my favorite quirky things about Loyalty. We all act Kindergartners trying to be the first in line; when Dan puts up a new thread. It just cracks me up that so many are into it and I love it.

It’s gonna be so weird next year playing conf games against Oregon, UCLA, etc…

Also does this mean we’ll have 10pm road games? East coaster can’t take that

Edit: something something Orlando Antigua Chester Frazier

Can't speak for O's wife, but in general in my experience, women tend to not like to "return to the scene of the crime", so to speak. Bad memories arise and they think their guy will fall back into bad habits, especially when he starts hanging around in his old circles with his old friends. Moving is starting over and starting a new life. It's synonymous with moving forward. But moving back... Well, you get the point.

I hope it comes to fruition and he comes back, but if it's up to her, and if she's like most women, she'd probably be very hesitant if not outright against it.
Or she can live in Arkansas. . .

I think we still have a shot

Not being with Chin wouldn’t change that? Or does he have a favorite bartender at Kams?

The bottom four of Rhoades, Sprinkle, Diebler and Johnson in some order seems clear to me because none of them have ever really accomplished anything at the high-major level. Any of them could jump up the list fast, but they don't deserve that placement yet.

You could say the same of May and Woodson I guess, but May has the Final Four on his resume and Woodson looks like he's going to roll top-of-market talent through Bloomington.

Hey @Indy Illini Fan ... do you know how Brad rolls on these types of hires? Does he give his primary candidate plenty of time to think over the offer before moving onto options 2, 3, etc.? Or does he offer more than one person after a day or so and takes the first one that wants the gig? I would think he won't wait too long since we're in prime transfer portal season.

Competition in league is going to be a lot tougher going forward. Traditional bottom feeders like NW, Nebby and PSU have very good coaches. At minimum, UM and OSU are going to pull a lot of talent and both May and Diebler have shown they can coach. Altman, Cronin, Sprinkle and Muss are darn good coaches. BU will need to up his game to keep up

Doesn't the associate coach position have to be officially posted to meet school and state requirements

Painter might be the best in the B1G but I think Edey has made people forget what Purdue was before Edey came along...a good not great program.

In the 15 years before one of the most dominant cbb players ever came along, Painter missed the tournament 4 times. Also, Purdue might have been sputtering toward the end of Keady's tenure, but Painter still took over a pretty good situation. Certainly not a dumpster fire like BU inherited.

Now, to give credit where credit is due - in those 15 years, Painter also had 4 championships (reg season and BTT) and 10 top 4 finishes. And he should get credit for recruiting, developing, and retaining Edey.

But is he really the best coach in the conference? My glasses may have an orange tint but in 7 years, BU has missed the tournament twice (his first two years with Groce's players), and since then has 3 championships and 4 top 4 finishes. And since I've started watching basketball, I've never seen an Izzo coached team miss the tournament.

I’m glad to see Brad finally getting some respect on these type of lists. He already had the Bigten success but the general media fandom and general pedaling outlet(s) needed that Elite 8 I guess.

I have to think guys like Beard & Mack not even making the list have more to do with other things of course.

No Oats? No Ots? Okay? I think Oats is slightly overrated too…but geez he’s better than MANY here. Willard? He doesn’t even understand the basics of time and score situations and how a clock works…John Groce said he could add. I’m not so sure Willard can.

What has Diebler done?…totally untested

If this is about X’s & 0’s over program building and recruiting…most of the list is wrong. Shrewsbury is better than most of the bottom half of the list. AND not just because we got our collective butts handed to us 3 times either…

Muss should be above Gard. Izzo and Hoiberg should both be higher.

I'd take Hoiberg over everyone not named Painter, Underwood, Altman, Izzo, or Muss.
