Yeah good point, to be honest I straight up forgot that he already has been a head coach.
Both big Z and Bradshaw have committed already which is a bit disappointing

Werner just called getting OA back the splashiest assistant coaching hire in Illinois history in any sport. Honestly, can't argue against that. Grabbing him back from Coach Cal really is a statement.
I think this falls into the category of being such a ridiculous statement it has to be a joke poking fun at the recent trolls. We're still kinda feisty from the attacks on our beloved insiders, legends that they are. Perhaps a /s would have been wise.
Sorry, but what does optimism have to do with it? I'm confused, genuine question. I thought we loved these guys for their reporting?
I would not be in favor of this sort of thing. Internal promotions, or setting up an heir-apparent, are sometimes great but often are not. I'd rather see a wide-open recruitment every time. (I haven't got a vote though, so who cares what I think)

Well just because he failed at USF does not mean he will fail again, and that was before NIL. Not saying if will happen, but if I were him I would only come back to Champaign if I at least had a shot at it?
