There were a few people saying fire Brad and hire Miller in the last thread.

To be clear, both are good coaches and I want to keep Brad as our coach.

Ah, gotcha. Completely read into your comment the wrong way. 👍

Utah has hired Mavs assistant Alex Jensen as their new head coach. Jensen is a Utah native who was on the Utes teams in the late 90s, including as a starter on the 1997-98 team that lost to Kentucky in the national title game.

The Brad to Texas rumors we've all heard...but I heard whispers of Chris Beard being the rumored replacement....
I might just be dreaming that though...

Roster talent metric is a thing creat by Bart Torvik based on preseason projections.

It basically projected neither Kasparis or Tomi to be big contributors.

Sorry, but there is no way our roster is less talented than Vandy's or Wisconsin's or Xavier's or Clemson's

Not a bad hire … Thought they should’ve gone after Andre Miller but there’s a reason they probably didn’t that has nothing to do with ability to coach and recruit or anything off the court …

Dukes current assistant coaches

Carrawell - Duke ex player
Avery - Duke ex player
Dildy - son of longtime Chicago area basketball coach/figure Tracy Dildy

If TA moves to Duke then Dildy will be looking for a new position 🤣

Duke has not taken anybody from Chicago city for a while. Okafor and Parker back in 2013-14

As this is an Illini board I am more excited about who Illinois will hire. We need more age/experience. Coach that can help players develop,

The fascination with hiring alumni who have never worked in college basketball never ceases to amaze.
I think it's a lot more about the NBA exposure these days. Coaching is a copycat profession in many cases, and I think people are seeing what UConn has been doing with their NBA sets in the college game and saying, "Hey, I want some of that". The NCAA game is becoming more like the NBA game in a lot of aspects, so hiring a coach with NBA experience seems to be logical.

There are 5 coaching spots and at least one will be open with Jai Lucas going to Miami
