That would be a great hire for Virginia. I'll always be grateful to the 2019 Virginia team for beating Satan's Auburn team in the Final Four that year.

Kyle Guy will always be an honorary Illini legend for those three free throws with a second left in that game and for being from Indianapolis and not going to Indiana or Purdue!

More or less … They can’t afford to get rid of him and would rather allocate the money they do have elsewhere … And they’re more focused on FB …

They’re also thinking it’s a sure thing that JQ comes back … It ain’t … But I do think they’ll probably get Koa Peat …

Bobby, Snacks, and Irvin brought in guys with bad character … They got exactly what they recruited

that’s a tough job and it’s only gotten more difficult in the past 6-7 years
I think Johnson got kind of a raw deal.

If Minnesota anted up to retain their guys they would have had a very good team this year. Let's say Christie stayed and they kept Payne and Hawkins.

We kid sometimes about the allure of Champaign to recruits because of winter. Have you been to Minny in the winter?
It’s f$ck your face cold.
People start their cars in late December and leave them running until March.

It’s so cold the lawyers have their hands in their own pockets.
The Orange Krush road trip my freshman year was a February visit to Minnesota. I do vividly recall my face engaging in intercourse immediately upon stepping off the bus.

Ryan Odom. At VCU right now.
Poor VCU. I don't know who their AD is or who has been making their hiring decisions but they have been hitting home run after home run only to watch them very quickly leave(outside of Shaka).

Have hired Anthony Grant, Shaka, Will Wade, Mike Rhoades, and Odum in succession. Even Jeff Capel was a pretty good mid major hire before Grant.

Whoever is making these hires deserves a raise.

Wade going to NC St makes total sense
why?

I don't think it's a great job. You're the 3rd most popular school in your own state at best. The ACC is weaker than the Big Ten, SEC, Big East, and maybe even the Big 12, but you've still got to get through Duke and UNC to win it, and Kelsey has Louisville humming.

I don't know about NC State's resources, so maybe the payday is worth it, but I'd wait to see what happens with Barnes at Tennessee and what shakes out of the carousel before rushing to accept the NC State job.

Of course, winning at NC State can get you to those top jobs. Wade was on the path to those top jobs already, did his infraction set him back, or do ADs say he's already proven he's capable of a top tier job? NC State is definitely a 2nd tier job, depending on how strict you are with tier 1, maybe even tier 3.

he needs success at a semi big time job before the bigger schools at the B1G or SEC come calling. He's hoping he's only there for 3-5 years. He's still a bit toxic for most schools in the P2
