Lost the notification on my phone, but ESPN is reporting that OSU DC Jim Knowles is moving to Penn St. on a three year deal. That has to be pretty unusual for an assistant to get that length of contract.

Two year deals are the norm for position coaches. Top coordinators getting three years is not abnormal.

Wow, just a couple days ago there were plenty of Ohio State folks reporting that he was staying put.

Appreciate the clarification. I always figured position coaches were year to year with coordinators getting two.

He's going to be paid $3M a year. He has to pay tOSU $1.2 to get out of his contract.
