He’s a serious contender for the job … Has big time booster support …

He never coached there and has talked about following the Sooners as a kid. I can't think of a similar situation where a coach would move out of a top conference to a lower conference without a fandom or past work experience connection.

Golesh should be high on their list. Arbuckle should be the top candidate but he should set his sights higher.

Funny note that Odom got his first full-time college coaching gig after Matt Eberflus left Missouri to take a job with the Browns.

He’s from Oklahoma so maybe he just wants to go back home. He also might think it’s easier to win in the big12.

They won’t get Golesh … I think he will get an SEC job …

I am a little late to the Gundy stuff, I will throw this argument into the mix. Remember many of us (probably rightly) will argue that the best NFL coach of this millennium is not good enough to coach a team in a very weak ACC. Even with all time coaches, the game passes them by.

How close is Dabo to retiring at this point? Clemson came into the season ranked 4th in the country and a quarterback that some said could go number one in the draft. They are now unranked sitting at 1-3 with their last two losses coming at the hands of Georgia Tech and Syracuse.

Anyone else feel like Ed Orgeron to UCLA just makes too much sense?

He's got brand name recognition, winning pedigree, a big personality, and an intricate understanding of the area and recruiting in SoCal--not to mention a willingness of getting his hands dirty to snag a top recruit.
Surprised he hasn't been hired in the Interim so he can evaluate who to bring back and start recruiting his guys....

Unless UCLA doesn't want to pay 2 head coaches this year orrrrrrrr he rubbed some big donors the wrong way in his years of coaching for USC.

Would Cignetti me the likely candidate should the Bama job open? He has a connection there already.
Wonder if age excludes him from these searches. Nowadays 64 isn’t ancient, but realistically how many more years is he gonna have.

That being said it would be real hard to not frame it as a home run hire for any SEC school—including bama

agree about his age & why only a couple programs would really seem right for him at this stage in life .

i think Indiana is the last stop for him .That said , the lightning he’s captured in the bottle will eventually peter out
