If I were PSU, I would look at a Pennsylvania native that’s been a B1G head coach before
Jon Gruden cashing in that first PSU paycheck
You actually might be on the right track. I definitely could see them end up with a prominent PSU alum.

Funniest possible result is if they end up with Kelly..What a mess for PSU. On their Reddit page several are posting that they should try to snag Chesney from UCLA before he even starts lol. Wonder what their contingency plan D-G will be
They are second place because of a tiebreaker. Credit to them for having the best win on the conference by beating Georgia but they also have the worst nonconference and conference losses of the 4 teams tied for first. Oklahoma has a nice team with a great defense but a terrible offense. Texas smoked them at the Cotton Bowl. Georgia’s loss was to Bama, A&M lost to Texas and Ole Miss lost to Georgia. Most other teams would be dropped with a third loss. Probably not Bama by name recognition but this is not a prime Saban Bama2nd place in the SEC is 100% going to make the CFP. Committee is not going to punish a team for getting 2nd place in SEC.
It’s becoming Mike Thomas-esque in Happy Valley.Miles Smith … Your table is ready …
Wasn't the rumor Lane was threatening to take the whole staff if they didn't let him keep coaching?Weiss is going to LSU after the playoff. That’s Kiffins boy.

The committee has specifically said it will don’t punish a team for losing a conference championship game. The is not an exaggeration, the SEC would not longer play in the CFP without changes if the SEC 2nd place team in not in the CFP.They are second place because of a tiebreaker. He was pretty good-sized, though.Mike McCarthy (not a previous B1G HC, tho)
Sitake is staying at BYUI am begging this to happen. One less traditional power school to worry about long term.
Sitake is a great coach... but his entire recruiting base is west of Denver... cannot see this working out long term.
