Former Miami OH QB (after Big Ben)
Was Western Illinois' head coach from 2018-21 (9-31)
This will be his first P4 job

Was New Mexico's TE coach this past year and they used the TE a LOT in the passing game: 89 catches across TEs. Top TE had 56 catches. Was the 2024 Ball State OC and they had Koziol (94 catches) as their top TE. Christian Abney played for him that season as well.

tell me how to feel.
Seems good. Sensible qualifications to the job, well known to someone already on our staff who can provide a reference, knows the area well.

He was head coach of Western Illinois in the 2018 game against us in which we really labored to win, after really laboring to win against Kent State in the opener, bad omens of where things were heading in Lovie's year 3.

Never experienced P4 football before would be the only real critique, but honestly I don't know how much position coach recruiting experience at a big time school in the pre-NIL days even means anymore, everything is night and day different.

Yes …

Think this is interesting to note because it’s not if Barry gets a HC job, it’s when … Having Neu play a role in the staff decisions and using his connections doesn’t hurt if the plan is for him to take over as OC when Barry lands that HC job …

Always one step ahead …
are we also one (more) Stepp ahead with the upcoming announcements?

Is there even 1% chance it could be Chicago Bear Leslie Frazier who was Bills defensive coordinator 2017-2022 and now on Seattle staff?

How long till Artur Sitkowski leaves us? I think he is big time and is going to be a really good coach. Do any insiders think he could be the OC one day?

Partridge, 45, was the linebackers coach for Michigan’s 2023 national championship team. But for only the first 10 games. Weeks after Connor Stalions’ in-person scouting scheme blew up in the middle of Michigan’s season, athletic director Warde Manuel abruptly fired Partridge a day before the Wolverines’ Nov. 18 game at Maryland. The Athletic reported at the time that “the school believes Partridge interfered with the NCAA’s investigation into Michigan’s alleged in-person scouting scheme, but hasn’t determined that he was directly involved.” Other outlets reported more detailed allegations that he “attempted to cover up evidence” and “pressured players to be untruthful or not to cooperate with NCAA investigators.”

I think technically Lunney is very good. But his public persona for fans is - he's limited as a salesman and boring af.

At least what he's shown, his ability as a HC to drive excitement would be limited to wins. But if an AD is looking for excitement, Lunney has limitations.

Anytime you can add someone that’s a former hc and coordinator it’s a good thing. He also has recruiting ties in state and the Midwest.

The rb coach will be interesting who we add. I would love Thomas Homack I just don’t think it’ll happen.

If we add Partridge he’s a stud recruiter and ties in NJ. I can’t see how Elliott could possibly recruit worse than Discher.
