I can say this with confidence. There is nothing more Whitman could do. He’s not messing around.

I was told by my source that we offered Orlando 4 years at $1 million per year. Whitman showed up to the table with the 💰
Thanks for the update. I would agree, given the above, Whitman has done his part. If OA still chooses to leave, then move on to trying to lock up Chin and grabbing OA's replacement. Can't cheap out. Needs to be an immediate impact hire.

Well hot dang. Glass half full me says this is the new direction of Illinois big boy sports.

Glass half empty me keeps thinking this is JW making an offer he knows UK will still beat and can plausibly save face. 😂

Kidding aside, thank you and the others immensely for all the info you've been hearing and passing along... truly hope OA decides to stay and we can continue building this thing 🤞👊

Cool, sort of like watching Name that Tune or the Velocity Channel car auctions...

I don't think you understand my question... If Kentucky has a season next year that mirrors ours from this year but they make the Sweet 16, are the people happy or upset with Cal and his assistants?
That does clarify it, thanks. To that I would say that they would be happy, but string several of those in a row without getting past that point and I think you see some changes.

That said, I would expect that at pretty much any program.

If OA gets 4M/4Years will other asst coach's get proportional raises? if not, they may be a bit discontented.
He is potentially getting what, a 2x raise? Can't see everyone getting that kind of bump. They seem committed to keeping the culture so I'm sure they won't let discontent brew.

At least no one can complain that Josh isn’t willing/able to play with the “big boys”. That more than qualifies for a big boy offer.
I would expect UK to match the salary, the years might give them pause.

You have to be kidding me. Recruiting sucks. Ugh.
Yep. Always has. Atleast for us. Just don't get why everyone wouldn't stay on board and make Illinois what Kentucky and Duke are instead of feeling it's necessary to go to the already established program. I might feel differently if I was actually in that position, but I doubt it.
